Bar Harbor Camping
We spent two nights in tents and ate breakfast and dinner at the campsite, picnic lunches out and about. Children's ages were, 1, 3 and 5, two sets of parents.
Mount Desert Campground
Beautiful sites with large rocks and a view of tidal waterways. Dangerous for kids, had some bad falls, un-level ground, not a good choice for small children.
Eagle Lake Carriage Road Walk
Easy, flat gravel road, lots of bikers, children walked or were carried on shoulders or in carriers on body. Parked at Eagle Lake Bridge, walked to Eagle Lake and then headed east on the carriage road and then returned the same way.
Bar Harbor Shore Path
Easy paved walking path, children walked or were carried on shoulders, we didn’t bring a stroller but you could! Started at Agamont Park, walked east along the Shore Path and then returned the same way. Stopped to play on tidal rocks a few times, got some good family pictures!
