Sebago Lake Skate
We attempted to skate around the lower bay of Sebago. We parked at the Sebago Lake Station Landing. I put on skates, Kati put on snow shoes and loaded Adi (4yo) and Ruth (2yo) into an old LLBean wooden sled with steel runners. It had snowed the day before, which made for beautiful sights and difficult skating. You couldn’t actually see the surface of the ice. Once we got away from the snowmobile tracks and paths from ice fishing traffic, the ice was smooth even though I couldn’t see it and we were able to actually get moving (which meant leaving Kati behind a little ways). We only went a short way and then returned the way we came.
