We spent two nights camping at Stony Brook Recreation, recommended to us by Grafton Notch Campground who were fully booked when I called. We hiked Table Rock with my mom and dad, Adi (4yo), Ruth (2yo) and Kati. I carried Ruth in a Kelty child carrier most of the way but Adi hiked the entire trail herself. The end got really steep including a few rungs of iron in the rock (there was an easier way around that we didn’t know about). The views were amazing but dangerous, especially with little kids. We hiked up and down the blue trail and it was a perfect hike, challenging for Adi without crushing her. We purposely avoided the orange trail as it has some bouldering sections that would have been well beyond kids or dads carrying kids. Afterwards we ate lunch at Screw Auger Falls and played in the water a little bit. I then made an attempt at redeeming out failed frozen waterfall adventure in this same area, but our group was exhausted. After stopping in on Moose Caves and Mother Walker Falls, we called it quits and went back to the campground.
